At BLOOM, your safety and trust are our top priorities. We’ve spent the past 10 years committed to delivering the highest quality vape products to our community and take that responsibility seriously.
During a careful investigation with the Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA), we identified a small batch of oil sourced from a third-party supplier that may contain MCT oil—a banned substance. This oil was used by our MI producer, Exhale, in a limited number of our all-in-one vapes across our Classic and Live 1g Collections, sold between September 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024. Out of an abundance of caution for your safety, we are voluntarily recalling all potentially affected strains.
We’ve always believed that pure, unadulterated oil is foundational for a safe and enjoyable vaping experience. That’s why we’ve never added cutting agents or unnecessary ingredients to our products. We are deeply disappointed that this supplier violated our trust, and we’ve immediately ended our relationship with them.
Your trust means everything to us, and we understand this news may cause concern. We are fully committed to transparency, accountability, and ensuring that every product we offer meets the highest safety and quality standards.
Below, you’ll find detailed information about the affected products and clear steps to take if you think you may have purchased one.
Which products are affected?
- Classic 1g Surf Strains: Champagne Kush, Forbidden Fruit, Jack Herer, Maui Wowie, Pineapple Express
- Live 1g Surf Strains: Alien Jack, Blue Dream, Cereal, Milk, Durban Gelato, Face Off OG, Green Crack, Pineapple Sherbert, Rainbow Runtz, Skywalker, White Widow
How can I check to see if the product I purchased was affected?
You can find a full list of recalled products and the dispensaries where they were sold on the CRA website [here] or by scanning the QR code below.
To check your product, look at the clear label on the back of your package and compare the METRC number with the affected batches listed on the CRA website.
What should I do if I purchased an affected product?
If you purchased recalled BLOOM 1g Surf, you are eligible for a replacement. Simply return to the dispensary where you purchased it with your receipt to confirm eligibility. If you no longer have your receipt, dispensary staff can review your purchase history to assist you.
What if I experience any adverse reactions?
If you experience any unexpected effects after using cannabis products, we recommend consulting with your healthcare provider. You can also report any adverse reactions to the CRA using the Adverse Reaction Form or by calling 517-284-8599.
How can I ensure I am purchasing safe products?
At Bloom, we are taking immediate action by voluntarily recalling these affected products. Moving forward, we have also implemented the following measures: Strengthened our testing and quality assurance protocols
Reviewed all suppliers and their testing processes
Discontinued our relationship with the third-party supplier that failed to meet our standards
And as always, be sure you are purchasing from licensed brands and dispensaries.
