Production and Quality Control Assistant

BLOOM BRANDS is hiring for a Production and Quality Control Assistant!

The candidate is responsible for assisting his/her direct manager in all tasks that are related to production. The job falls into 3 main segments: assisting in quality control, applying standard operating procedures (SOPs), managing administration tasks as well as documentation. Also assisting manager with day-to-day chores. Below tasks and responsibilities are broken down into more details.

Main Responsibilities 
  • Conducting quality control at the co-manufacturers (Co-Man) location. Such as: inspecting output samples, checking assembly process, reviewing logs and checklists 
  • Assisting manager in training Co-Man’s on SOPs 
  • Proposing improvements as well as providing necessary feedbacks 
  • Creating all reports related to quality control procedures
  • Maintaining structured and appropriate recordkeeping throughout all QC procedures
  • Conducting spot quality checks on the affected bathes at the Distributor location.
  • Help improving current SOP’s and create new ones when needed 
  • Improving product handbooks and creating new ones
  • Help with the new formulations and new products/new launches
  • Document processes and protocols that involve QC and SOPs and production
  • Create all reports as the job requires and keep them updated
  • Keep all documentation and filing system organized and well maintained
Qualification & Skills 
  • At least 2 years of QC and/or Administration work
  • A degree program in quality assurance is a plus
  • Excellent with Word, Excel, PowerPoint 
  • Able to quickly adapt with shared platforms (such as google documents, instant messaging, project management applications, and similar)
  • Strong relationship building
  • Effective communication skills 
  • Result oriented 
  • Extreme attention to details
  • Highly structured and organized 
  • Strong communication skills
  • Integrity and honesty
  • Familiar with measuring system and setting metric
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Lots of traveling and site visits in CA
  • Long hour standing 
  • Lifting boxes 
  • Assisting simple production labor work
  • Working alongside the labor team on the production site
